Ex Hogan Racing Lola T332 Hu43 Formula 5000.
The car back in its day was driven by Johnny Rutherford, David Hobbs, Jody Scheckter and Brett Lunger as well as others.
The car holds a Confederation of Australian Motor Sport Limited (CAMS) Gold COD one of only a handful ever issued.
She is in good condition with less than 1,000 Km of use in 5 years.
The car is built to exacting standards and to a high standard of finish, with no expense spared.
This is the ultimate in Historic racing.
Built around an Alloy chassis with wishbone suspension that is fully adjustable.
This car was rebuilt using mostly brand new components throughout, other than a rebuilt Hewland DG300 gearbox and chassis.
The engine is a newly rebuilt 5.0 litre 010 small block Chevy, with no miles on it. Compstar rods, Diamond custom pistons and a Callies forged crank and was built with on expense spared, dry sump (twin scavenge) is fitted, with twin oil coolers. The heads are AFR CNC ported competition upgraded with bigger spring’s uprated pushrods, retainers and uprated Jessel roller follower’s, lifter and a belt drive timing kit was fitted. An ATI crank damper, this thing revs freely.
Braking is taken care of by 4 pot brakes and pads and you will not fade these brakes, they are exceptionally strong. The fuel injection is McKay and fitted with a M8 Lucas M2 metering unit and can be fine-tuned. It’s currently dyno turned for AV Gas and is about 556bhp.
Devastatingly quick on track.
Performance is as you would expect from a mid engined car with 550bhp and coming in at 740kg car, in the region of 6.5 seconds 0-100mph, and is geared for about 175mph. The car is built to be ultra-fast and ultra-reliable, and is a real driver’s car.
To recreate this car now would cost over $340,000 plus as a built car. A full history with pictures is available and the car can be viewed. Open to offers that reflect the car and its history.
