In 1967 the Alexis Factory upgraded the car to a Formula 2 specification with a Vegantune Lotus Twin Cam and 5 speed Hewland gearbox. A new chassis plate was fitted as # TR2 and the car was raced in the USA as a Formula B in 1967 and 1968. In 1969 it returned to England and was fitted with a FVA and competed in the British hillclimb championships. In 1972 the Vegantune engine was refitted and it was raced at circuits in the UK and used in Hillclimbs. The car was imported into Australia and was fully restored and issued with a CAMS historic group O log book and CofD. In 2013 the Alexis raced at the Tasman event in Perth and Sydney before competing in New Zealand and then the UK and Ireland. It returned to Australia in 2014 and has competed in West Australia since then
