The H6S (Holinger 6-Speed) was initially produced in direct reaction to the GRA-6N, when the other competitors racing against the Skyline GTR's felt somewhat disadvantaged by only having 5-Speeds with the GRA-5. The H6S was then born and was essentially a 6-Speed version of the GRA-5.

This gearbox was to become the flagship product for Holinger Engineering for many years, and has been produced in both H-Pattern and Sequential form. It has found its way into many racing categories around the globe, and was the only transmission used in Australia's V8 Supercars from the early 90's right up until 2008 when the category moved to Holingers new RD6 transmission.
