Leyland Mini Van

This is a very special little car. It is a 1975 Leyland Van running Cooper S brakes all round with Minilite copy wheels and Yokahama AO32R tyres which are like new. The engine is where it becomes very special in that it is a MK11 Cooper S block with a stroked crank and bored to 73.5mm giving a capacity of 1420cc or about. The cylinder head is a very rare BMC crossflow 8 port item of which only around 300 were made by BMC for their rally program in the mid 1960's. It has a steel flywheel and competition clutch and roller rockers with adjustable timing gears and electronic distributor. The carburettors are Mikuni from a motor bike. The car will be sold with a number of race cams and Weber manifolds. It is running a 2.9 final drive ratio which gives very good cruising. The body is in excellent condition and although resprayed in it's original yellow devil 4 years ago still presents well. It has never been used commercially. Again it is a very special car and now needs a new home hopefully with some one who will treat it well. It is on club plates which are not tranferable
