1985 RAY FF85 Historic Formula Ford (FC)
Built by renowned Formula Ford Builder Bert Ray in England.
This car was imported here in 2011 and only ran a few track days.
I purchased the car in 2017 and stripped the paintwork back to the base colours found (for its COD) which it is presented today. The car is in exceptional condition.
The car finished 3rd place in FC for the 2019 revived Driver to Europe Championship.
It qualified and finished 2nd at Morgan Park Historics in 2019 and qualified 7th at Philip Island Historics 2018.
The Ray is a regular top 10 finishing car.
The Jamie Larner engine was rebuilt in August 2019. It has run 290km.
The cylinder head was serviced by Larner in February 2020. It has run 130km.
It comes with 15 gear ratios, a lot near new (worth $6k+).
All the suspension arms & rose joints have been replaced.
The rims have been replaced with Weller wheels.
Brake calipers overhauled 2020 with new pads and front discs 2019.
New battery and starter motor in 2019.
Spare set of suspension arms & rods, front arm and rear hub jigs.
Tyres in excellent condition & spare used set supplied.
There are spare nose cones, rear body cover, moulds for both, spare nose box & front and rear floor panels.
Large drivers area for the broader person.
It comes with a specially made padded vinyl car cover that seals the car for transport.
Car has just been serviced (new oil, coolant & brake fluid)
