1985 Toyota AE86

I am offering my AE86 Levin for sale. I imported it with approval for registration in Australia however I have never felt the need to. All import paperwork will be included in the sale.

I bought it in Osaka in 2012. As far as I could find out it had not been road registered. I bought it from a workshop recouping costs. Previously it was owned and raced by a Tokyo work shop and was a teal green colour, raced in N1 and entry level N2. I was told they bought it from Toyota close to 2000 as a former single make series, TRD Cup? Totaly un documented.

I have competed extensively in SEQ in super sprints, hill climbs, street sprints and various track days. This car has been extremely competitive in the 1600 and under 2l sportsedan classes.

The body is completely seam welded... everywhere! It's had some bumps and has 0 rust. The guards and arches are all steel but very flared. Very neat, straight and was repainted 2015 in De-bear. An alloy 6 point cage was fitted in Japan prior to my purchase. I have been told it is a TRD item but have not seen any markings to support that.

Wheels are rota, lotus copies 15x8 front 15x9 rear 2 sets, 1 with Nangkang Ar1 and the other with Kumho V70a 225-45-15.

Front brakes FC RX7 with Hawk ht10 pads std rear calipers with Hawk ht10 pads (rears on order) Braided lines all round. Penrite sin600 fluid.

Shocks are adjustable TRD blue short stroke all round and camber tops with a strut bar. 30mm offset rca's 6 kg/mm Front springs, 3.5 kg/mm rear. It's just a std front sway bar. It works well for the street, small tight tracks I run on. Adjustable panhard.

Gearbox modified (1st 2nd 3rd) T50 Albins close ratio. Near new build. Leyburn, lakeside track day and engine run in.

TRD 2 way Diff. Mannon racing crown and pinion 4.89:1 Fitted at the same time as the gearbox, under 100 km.

Inspection is recommended.
