If you are looking for a Podium capable Classic Tarmac Rally car - look no further.
Cave Racing's TR7-V8 finished Targa Tasmania 2016 - 3rd Classic GT, Classic Adelaide 2016 - 4th Classic Competition, Targa Tasmania 2019 - 4th Classic GT. CAMS Log-booked and running on SA Rally Registration, this TR7-V8 was built to Tarmac Rally specifications and has been upgraded accordingly over several years.
The amazing note that bellows from the twin pipes at the rear, starts from the 4.6 litre Rover lump under the fibreglass bonnet. Block and heads were upgraded at the start of the build and the Haltech Injection was upgraded in 2019. The Supra gearbox casing houses a 5 speed Albins gearbox that was rebuilt in 2019, and all that power is bought to a halt with the Gibbs 4 wheel disk brakes (drilled and ventilated - of course). The Bilstein Coil-overs were fitted and tuned by Supashock (2016) and the 6 Superlight Alloys are shod with Toyo 888's - 6 that are roaded and 2 brand new. The 6 point harnesses are in date and the removable steering wheel makes it easy to get in and out.
In 2019, TDV re-wired the entire car and a freshly fabricated dashboard was installed with the Stack Digital Dash/Cluster, including the integration of the Rally Safe aerial and loom, Stilo intercom and GoPro camera connections. Did I mention the note? Navigator footrest and driver footplate contribute to internal comfort and obviously the fully welded and CAMS certified roll cage features the necessary bar work and bracing (including side intrusion). The HSV Watts link rear end and diff (re-built 2020) ensures all that power gets to the road effectively - and trust me, there is plenty of power!
This car is ready to run competitively and finish strongly in Tarmac events or as a track weapon.
