This car started as a re-shelling project over 10 years ago by the previous owner but didn’t progress much beyond removing the roof, installing a steel cage, replacing the roof and giving the car a coat of primer. Eventually he decided he needed the space in his garage. I bought it and have used the engine and gearbox elsewhere. I was told that all the other parts on the original car necessary to rebuild it into a rally car are there but you are welcome to check.
This could be a great base for an autocross car or rally car, including the HRA Standard Car class, especially if you already have a suitable engine and gearbox. Or the cage could be removed and it could potentially be re-assembled as a standard car. See the photos to view the car, cage, seats, etc. It includes a front strut brace, rear disc brakes (not fitted, photo available on request), 5 spare Sigma alloy wheels, sump guard, power steering, Terraphone Professional intercom, navigator footwell footplate, Autotechnica steering wheel and extractors to suit 2 litre Astron engine. I was told the shockers are a rally type – as used in the previous body in the 2007 Alpine Rally.
The car is available for inspection during business hours by appointment. It’s located in Fawkner, Melbourne.
Price for everything on an “as is” basis is $1,299.
