1972 BMW E9 3.0 CS restoration Project

This E9 is a1972 3.0 CS Automatic previously registered in Australia but origin unknown.
It’s a RHD car with power Windows, sunroof and after market aircon. Originally Chamonix with marine blue interior trim. The timber interior trim has been restored to a high standard but that’s the only item already restored. The exterior trim is all there but will need restoration also. Engine and transmission are the original items. Assume all mechanical parts require rebuild. The body has been dipped for paint stripping, having been sitting for a few years now it has surface rust. Some new body panels have been sourced and are shown in the photos. 5 original CS wheels with tires exist along with some 17”staggered style 32’s if interested. Although not for the faint hearted this project is a worthwhile restoration that will produce a beautiful classic car with appreciating value.
