Starting life as a Sepia Brown 1977,2.7L Carrera this Turbo RSR inspired road registered track/street car has been reborn with 350bhp at the back wheels and some serious old school turbo charged air cooled flat six attitude

Intended for track and mountain road driving this is as visceral as it gets. Featured in “911 Magazine” (see photos) it was described as “a violent attack on the senses,” in that shoot it was sporting the famous Martini Racing livery on white paint. It now wears a brand new, perhaps less flamboyant but no less striking factory Porsche colour called Messien Blu.

Drive train: The engine is a 3.0 turbocharged engine from a 930 with an upgraded K27 turbo. The engine has undergone lots of development. It has been modified to be fuel injected using 3.2L engine heads and electronics. The engine is managed by a brand new MoTeC engine management system (recently installed by Melbourne Performance Centre, cost $7k). A custom built large intercooler and cold air induction ducting have been installed.

The engine internals have been upgraded to include high compression pistons yielding a compression ratio of 8.5:1 with shot-peened con-rods and Racewear bolts for durability. The engine has been tuned for reliability and currently running a modest 1.3bar.

The gearbox is an original 930 4-speed which is known for their toughness, with a Quaife limited slip differential and new heavy duty clutch.

Engine oil cooling has been enhanced with a Ruf front mounted oil cooler. To add to the drama, it has a custom straight through stainless steel exhaust - loud enough to wake the neighbours !

Brakes are 322mm slotted front discs with 964 RST spec Brembo calipers, the rear are standard 930 discs and calipers.

The exterior is freshly painted in factory Porsche Messien Blu. A custom front bumper (reminiscent of the 1974 RSR Turbo) was specially designed to accommodate the oil cooler and front brake cooling. The car will come with the custom fibreglass mould which includes a new bumper within it. The rear spoiler is a modified 993 GT2 unit with a ex-V8 SuperCar wing mounted atop for good downforce.

Interior is race finished with Recaro race seats and Schroth 6 point harnesses for driver and passenger. Lightweight carper with rear seat delete and custom rear roll bar installed. The dash includes a very rare factory turbo boost gauge to keep with the period vibe.

A very well sorted car and a very regrettable sale. I live interstate with zero mountains and the race track isn’t that good, so it is time for me to say farewell to this incredible machine. Price is negotiable within limits. Please call or message me to experience the car. p.s. it also comes with a full tank of petrol which may be worth more than the car sometime soon ;)
