1990 Holden 355 v8

For sale is my old race engine out of my VL commodore. It started life as a VR 304. It has a scat 355 crank. Milodon 4 bolt splade caps. H beam rods and forged flat tops. It has a crane 300 solid flat tappet cam and yella terra shaft mount roller rockers and billet o-ringed rocker covers. Up top is a pair of edelbrock performer heads with extensive porting from BG race engines in Sydney. Ferrea 6000 valves and pac springs locks and retainers. Felpro pre-flattened head gaskets The intake flows 321cfm at 600 thou lift. Its fitted with a port matched Come racing inlet so it can be fitted under a standard bonnet. The oiling system is a high energy wet sump with external pickup and a savy motorsport external pump. The block is modified for priority oiling. It runs on e85 and has a static compression ratio of 13.05:1 It also has a moroso vacuum pump to run the crankcase in negative pressure. No expense was spared in the build. The heads alone were over 10k. It makes 460hp at the wheels and a dyno graph is available to interested parties. There's a link of it in my race car at Winton for your listening pleasure below . Just remember.... You are buying a race engine. Not a daily driver. These motors need constant attention and maintenance and stuff breaks in them. The oil pan will be removed for your inspection so you can see what you're buying. A new gasket will be supplied. It's also being sold without a carby but an e85 holley xp ultra 850 can be supplied jetted for the engine for another $2000. This engine is being sold as a lightly used race engine with no warranty.
