Whether you are looking to race or register, this Nissan 180SX represents a unique opportunity to get your hands on a truly special piece of automotive engineering.

Built with an open chequebook by the Wizards at 'ARE' back in the mid 2000's, this car was designed to destroy just about anything at a dyno compettiton with its LC Engineering Toyota 3RZ under bonnet, turning out a truly astonishing 782hp atw on a mere 29PSI of boost. The engine was designed and built to run up to 50psi, so you can only imagine the shear potential. The intention was to make well over a 1000hp atw and then ultimately head to the drag strip and embaress a some competition that had a few more cylinders. Unfortunately as life and a thriving business got in the way this never eventuated.

The car has not seen the light of day since 2006 when it last turned a tyre in anger. It was then put into dry storage for the last 16yrs and that is where it sat unitl it was painstakingly re-commissioned over the last few months to bring it back into active duty. I guess it is what you would call somewhat of a barn find. Moving forwards this vehicle would be the perfect platform for someone looking for a roll race or powercruise monster, a circuit racing track day/time attack weapon, insane drag racer or...... with a little bit of work being that is has a clean rust free body and chassis that has never been damaged and a QLD blue plate for its mods, dare we say register for the ultimate street missile.

ENGINE
- Toyota 3RZ, 2.7 litre, 4 cylinder petrol Hilux.
- LC Engineering High Boost Dyno Challenge crate long assembly.
- 3RZ forged steel knife edged crank, heat treated.
- Pauter billet titanium rods. CP pistons / rings with Pauter titanium pins.
- LCE 4 port pro head with LCE stainless valves, LCE titanium retainers 7.7:1 compression.
- Camshafts are LCE custom drag grind with turbo shims. LCE steel billet adjustable camshaft gears.
- 4 stage dry sump setup with BDG external oil pump and custom billet pan.
- Custom ARE Engineering Oil tank with remote breather tank.
- MagnaFuel Pro Star 600 fuel pump, Just retuned to run E85, braided -10 feed line/ - 08 return with eight injectors and custom fuel rail
- Motec M800 ECU.
- Custom curved ARE 38mm single row radiator with 16” Davies Craig extreme fan
- 90L p/h Davies Craig external electric water pump with ARE 2 speed manual controller
- Custom one of a kind ARE intake manifold
- Custome ARE alloy baffled fuel tank
- GCG XTR GT 42-45 turbo
- Custom ARE Dry Ice Intercooler
- Custom 4” staright through exhaust system, also included is a CES made a 4” stainless pipe, cat & muffler
