E46 BMW Coupe, Black & Purple, M54 B30 engine, 5 speed manual , short shifter , DifLab LSD, headers, 6,500 rpm ICU and uprated thermostat settings. This vehicle was supervised during construction by Jason Of GRIMMOS GARAGE, championship winning constructor and driver of Queensland Improved Production Racing. The directive was to produce a safe, super reliable, cheap to run and maintain race car. To this end the car is fitted with Top quality OMP race seat and Schroff 6 point harness. Coil overs. The car is logbooked 3J Improved Production, CAMS certified cage by Scotts Rods and very lightly raced 4-5 meetings only over a few years. Mechanically the B30 3.0 litre 6 cylinder engine is stock, other than light single mass flywheel & improved clutch , leaving plenty of scope for development. There is also plenty of room for weight reduction , it still runs the aircon ! 😂 factory dash, power windows, door cards, full street M type exhaust ect. It has NEVER been involved in an accident and NEVER had any mechanical issues (ohhh, one faulty coil) . It has proved utterly reliable and finished third in the Queensland QRDA under 3 Litre class championship a few years back by consistency! It is fitted with four new / very good Yokohama ADVAN control tyres and four brand new spares on rims. A complete RHD ITB assembly (not fitted) can be included by negotiation. This is a reliable, fun, cheap to run, fully compliant and logbooked race car. There is enormous scope for weight reduction and engine development. I am an old fart and now I find that gravity assists me getting in over the intrusion bars, but extricating myself is difficult with my dodgy back , so the time has come to let common sense and safety prevail and hang up my aspirations to be like Brabham! 😂 Today I pulled the car out from the machinery shed , and hosed it off before the pics , obviously it is still dusty and needs a proper tub ! 👍 I’ll get to that and update pics when done. The trailer IS NOT included in the sale. The car is located in Glenwood , 35 odd klm north of Gympie . I could possibly deliver by arrangement if required.
