2000 HOLDEN VT COMMODORE RACE CAR
We have a very special offering here, Perkins Engineering project # PE036.
CAMS original log book # 20010526.
VT 01/00 Raced by Russell Ingall in the 2000 Australian Touring Car Championship together with Cameron Murchison and Luke Youlden at Bathurst, before being sold to Team Kiwi Racing.
As to which TKR car was used is where it becomes a little grey. Initially the plan was to run 2 cars in the 2001 ATCC, #021 for the late Jason Richards and #777 for Fogg.
Both were entered for the 1st few rounds, but after #777 failed top qualify the team decided to concentrate on just 1 car, although both did appear at the Pukehoke round.
After the Garry Rogers Motorsport VX was returned after a few rounds in 2003, Craig Baird stepped into PE035, moving to PE036 from the Queensland round onwards.
One was raced by the late Mark Porter in 2004 in the Konica series as well as the Eastern Creek and Pukehoke ATCC rounds. This car was then sold to Mark Pappendell debuting at the Konica Bathurst race in 2004.
Current engine specifications are not available.
A Historic race car with great credentials which would suit someone with ambitions for some serious racing.
This car is available to admire on our state of the art showroom floor in Adelaide.
We can arrange transport door to door Australia wide or even back to New Zealand if required.
