$9,900 FIRM, BUT PLEASE READ TO THE END
This is the N55, ‘twin-power’ version. It has the 7-speed DCT transmission with flappy paddles. Red leather interior. This was heavily optioned from the factory - sunroof, comfort access system (with 2 original keys), Professional sat nav system, the top of the range Harmon Kardon surround stereo, along with M carbon fibre wing mirrors, M carbon fibre rear spoiler, M wheels, M Performance suede/leather steering wheel (with display for oil/water temp, g-force, lap timer, etc), LCI tail lights and black badges – a very unique combination of options. I am the second owner and have owned it for the last 12 years and it was my daily drive until about 4 years ago. The car has been stored for the last few years, but I have started it every month. It is currently UNREGISTERED. It has 155,400kms on it.
The car is in great condition inside and out. Has had new front and rear rotors and pads less than 1000kms ago. Had sump gasket (and bolts) replaced at the same time to fix an oil leak. Never had an accident, not written off.
FULL DISCLOSURE OF ISSUES (PLEASE READ!!!)
Despite having the sump gasket replaced, there is still a minor oil leak. I suspect it is from the valve cover which would be the next common problematic part to replace.
The engine runs fine but it will hunt revs when coming to a stop. This suggests the VANOS solenoids and/or the valvetronic motor need replacing. Maybe this is also related to a valve cover leak so all of that could be fixed together.
There is a squeak in the steering column - this only occurred since the sump gasket was replaced so maybe the shop didn’t put everything back together right. It is just a bit annoying but something you might want to look into.
The rear window tinting has bubbled and there are some other minor cosmetic blemishes and stone chips around the body. Pretty good condition overall, but not concourse condition. The interior is almost spotless – the seats show wear typical of age, while the steering wheel also shows wear around the suede and leather. The bottom corner parts of the front bumper were wrapped/plasti-dipped black by the first owner – looks kinda cool but it is peeling.
The wheels are painted black but the paint is peeling and would benefit from a respray or removing the paint to return it to the stock silver colour. There is gutter rash on the wheels – not too bad but noticeable if you go looking.
The vehicle will be sold AS IS, WHERE IS, UNREGISTERED. If you want to inspect it prior to buying, feel free to arrange a time that is convenient for us both.
There is still hope in returning it to the road by spending a bit of time and effort on this sweet ride. Otherwise, it would be a perfect base from which to build a race car. Dare I say it, it would probably be worth a lot more if it was parted out. The price is FIRM and NOT NEGOTIATBLE. If any of this is a problem for you, or you’re not willing to exchange $9,900, thanks for looking but please don’t waste our time. Text or email preferred please.
