This car is a BMW M8 (original e31) tribute car. It is a RHD race car which was rebuilt from an 850CSi originally raced in the UK Substantially upgraded, repainted to ‘Hellrot’ and rebuild by RaceFx at Hampton Downs over two years, to replicate the unique e31 M8. Full cost of makeover at $300K+ ( not including the cost of the car). The body work around the rear wheel vents and front and rear mudguard flares is steel and the bonnet and the nose and front sub spoiler are in fibreglass. She was lightly raced in the BMW Open and Historic Racing Cars over 2 seasons, with major rebuilds and full maintenance. She has a unique BMW S70B 5.6 litre V12 dry sump engine, she has a Holinger 6 speed H pattern stick shift with an AP RACING three plate race clutch, with custom stainless headers and laser cut 6 into one collectors and cross flow exhaust. Engine management is by AIM and she has a stiffened and certified Safety Devices Steel Roll Cage and Fire extinguisher system and inbuilt mylaps transponder. Has a fully adjustable Leda coil over suspension system with front and rear suspension tower bracing and has a Dodge Viper steering rack. She has a baffled aluminium 60 litre fuel tank. She features AP Racing s5000 brakes with slotted rotors and 6 custom Simmons 5 Spoke offset 18” rims in the style of the original M8. She has radiators for engine, gearbox, oIl, LSD and steering as well as a mid mounted Peterson oil tank system. This car has some minor bruising to both sides and drivers door which can be cheaply repaired and touched up and the front spoiler and right mudguard need repairs and a repaint. .
