This is a major piece of Supercars history ready to be snapped up - the very last Supercar raced by two-time champion and no doubt future Hall of Famer, Marcos Ambrose.

It's one of just four different Supercars chassis he raced during his time in the category.

Returned to its #17 XBOX/DJR Team Penske livery, the Ford Falcon FG X was driven by Ambrose alongside Scott Pye in the 2015 Gold Coast 600.

That event marked Ambrose’s last appearance in the category after his short-term return with DJR Team Penske that saw him stand back from full-time driving earlier that season.

The Tasmanian returned to race as Pye’s co-driver in the Sandown, Bathurst and Gold Coast races before departing the category.

The car Ambrose co-drove on the Gold Coast in 2015 has been restored in recent times by Tickford Engineering, the engineering and manufacturing arm of Tickford.

Tickford acquired the car in 2022 for Zak Best to drive in the Dunlop Super2 Series.

“This car is a leading example of the attention to detail and prowess of Tickford Engineering in restoring first-class race cars, particularly Supercars,” says Tickford Racing’s CEO Simon Brookhouse.

“This car is close to the heart of Tickford as it has raced under our banner, but we decided to restore it to its previous glory as driven by Marcos and Scott.

“We see this as a great opportunity for a Supercar collector to get their hands on one of only four Supercars that Marcos ever raced.”

Ambrose drove two different Falcon chassis for Stone Brothers Racing between 2001 and 2005 and two different chassis during his ultra-short tenure with DJR Team Penske covering 2014 and early 2015.

The chassis that has been returned to XBOX colours started its life with DJR in 2014 and was raced by Ambrose in Shell Helix colours at the 2015 Clipsal 500 in Adelaide.

It was driven by Pye for a handful of rounds during that year as the team rotated two chassis from round-to-round, eventually called back up for action on the Gold Coast after Pye had a huge accident in the other car at Bathurst.

Pye drove the chassis in the early part of 2016 for DJRTP before it later spent time in the Supercars Championship with Matt Stone Racing in 2018 driven by Todd Hazelwood and then moved into the Dunlop Series in the following years via MSR and Matt Chahda Motorsport.

It was last raced in 2022 in the final round of the Dunlop Series at Adelaide by Tickford driver Zak Best and is a complete, ready-to-run car capable of going onto the track or being wheeled straight into a collection of special cars.
