Maintained to original specifications for this unique Lotus, engineered by chief designer and Lotus 47 Project leader John Joyce. The current owner, the third owner in the 1970's. This car is a long way ahead of a basic Lotus Europa. Features Lotus F1, G-series rear multi-link, rose jointed suspension geometry (similar to Lotus 49 F1 car) with Bowin P4 rear uprights. Adjustable front and rear spring platforms, competition Koni front and Bilstein rear dampers, adjustable rose jointed Lotus 47 front suspension, race spec anti-sway bars. Custom alloy front hubs, dual brake master cylinders, adjustable brake bias, Lotus 47 front discs and callipers, rear discs with Formula Ford calipers. Wide Formula 2 wheels, 10 inch wide rear and 8 inch front.
A genuine collectors’ car, that raced back in the 1970’s, Warwick Farm, Amaroo, Bathurst, not a replica car, tribute copy or reproduction. Engine is an ultra-reliable 1800cc alloy Renault (A110 Style) cross flow race engine with twin Webers, Cosworth cam grind, optical trigger distributor with high output electric ignition, tuned race exhaust, high volume oil system. Gearbox is straight cut, close ratio 4 speed Needham Renault gearbox with Hewland diff driving forged axles through race spec CV half shafts.
Regularly maintained since body off rebuild. Recent new Tilton clutch, calliper seals and master cylinders.
