This car was purchased from the UK and imported into Western Australia in 2007. It was licensed for use on public roads in
the UK, in 2005. The previous owner was a retired Ferrari fan, so the car was meticulously maintained.
Finished in the classic combination of British Racing Green with red leather seats, dashboard, carpets and steering wheel, it exudes vintage British charm with a contemporary twist. The car sits proudly on 13" Wire wheels, shod with a set of grippy Toyo Proxes tyres for excellent track handling.
Power comes from a tuned 1275 (bored to 1380cc) A-series engine, fitted with a 2 x 1. 5" SU carburettors for improved reliability and drivability. It has also been fitted with electronic points in the distributor to cope with higher revs.
The gearbox is ex an MG Midget and has a Ford Escort rear axle.
New battery has just been fitted - comes with a built-in trickle charger due to battery behind the rear nacelle.
The car is Vehicle number "30" of a commemorative edition of 50.
It has been extensively used frequently from 2007, in sprints, hill climbs, and multiple circuits within Western Australia. Circuit racing days were predominantly regularity events. The participation in recent events has diminished and it is now time to hand the baton over to another 11 enthusiast.
This Westfield Eleven is sure to deliver an unforgettable driving experience being both very light and agile. It is also unique with a very low number of these examples being brought to Australia. How to stand out in a crowd!
