David Doubtfire

This Mallock U2 was built under license in New Zealand in 1969 using all the usual components. It raced successfully for 10 years when it was purchased by a prominent racer/constructor as a base for a sports racing car to compete in the SCANZ national sports car championship during the 1980's. It was a very competitive car winning 5 championships and holding lap records at every circuit. This very special Mallock U2 started life in New Zealand racing in the clubman classes until approximately 1978 when it was purchased by a new owner for competing in the SCANZ National sports car championship with the following specifications. Lotus twin cam engine, fuel injected and turbocharged producing around 300hp. Alfa 105 5 speed gearbox McLaren M4A front disk and brake calipers.
