1992 BMW AC Schnitzer S5 3.0iX

The AC Schnitzer S5 3.0iX is a Schnitzer conversion of a BMW 525 iX
This car was built by BMW in RHD (unique for a 525iX) and then underwent the conversion at the UK Schnitzer workshop.
The original M50 BMW engine is replaced with a Schnitzer S5 engine which is 3.0 litre and with Schnitzer cams, porting and new manifold and exhaust. The mapping is completely upgraded and BMW M Technique is installed.
The suspension is upgraded with Schnitzer coils and new Bilstein shocks which are coupled with self-levelling rear suspension. The AWD is such that it is virtually impossible to spin the wheels and the traction control is very sophisticated. Handling is mind-blowing!!
Brakes are BMW Racing ABS – frighteningly good!!
The interior is fitted with the Schnitzer walnut trim and steering wheel and gear knob.
The exterior is fitted with Schnitzer spoilers front and rear.
