2001 VX SS Commodore

2001 VX SS Commodore, Forged LS1, Yella Terra roller rockers, tie bar lifters, custom Clive cam (260/264 duration @.050", .729 lift, 108lsa), ported 243 heads, Edelbrock Pro Flo intake, FAST 92mm TB, custom Duspeed OTR, has made 350rwkw at 7500rpms on a chassis dyno (has different tunes/exhaust configurations depending what you want to run ie 75db, 95db, open pipes for drags etc), large aluminium radiator, large oil cooler with twin remote oil filters, brake ducting, Pedders xtreme coilovers, Whiteline sway bars F/R, AP Racing/HSV 355mm 2 piece 6 pot front brakes + AP Racing/HSV 330mm 4 pot rear brakes rear (these are super hard to find and expensive) with fresh EBC Yellow stuff pads and rotors, 4-1 extractors and 2 exhausts (twin 3" full length for 75db or twin 3" dumped at the diff for 95db), built 4.11 M80 diff with spool, ARP wheel studs, HD drivehsafts, T56 with new Xtreme organic clutch and extended shifter, 3 sets of wheels with a variety of A050's, Z221's and A048's as well as spares that are good for practice and club sprints.

Recently I went 1:23.6 at Sandown with the 4.11's shifting into 5th on both straights so with 3.7's and a better driver you could drop into the 1:21's-1:22's and be competitive in IPRA based on their recent lap times. It should also run into the 1:49's at PI or better as I went 1:52.0 around 5 years ago and there has been a lot of upgrades to the car since. For something different I also took it to Heathcote for some fun in full circuit trim and ran 11.9@120mph slipping the clutch all of 1st gear and granny shifting so it's definitely a fun all round car.

Currently has a 4 point weld in cage with fixed back race seats and 5 point harnesses all within date and ready for club sprints etc. You can even have my large Bell helmet with Hans device with the car to get you started with club sprints or the like. The car also comes with the front half of the cage that used to be in it and can be used for extending towards a CAMS approved setup but I never went down the certification path as I stayed doing sprints only and it was also registered on the street for a while so just used the rear half. The car can be re-registered for the street if you want to go through the process as it also comes with most of the standard interior if this is something you would like to look at doing. I've also got plenty of Go Pro footage on YouTube of the times at Sandown, PI and Heathcote so you can see for yourself that I'm not pushing the car to its limits with me behind the wheel.

I've had this car for the past 8 years and it is going to be very sad to see it go but it's time to move onto bigger and better things in my life and let someone else enjoy it.
