For sale is a Mitsubishi Mirage 4G92 DOHC MIVEC Track Car - 08/1998 Build Australian delivered Mirage.

Was purchased by myself in 2015 and further developed as a club level tarmac car, used for Super Sprints and Track days. Plus, skidpan motorkhana’s. The car has been previously registered with the current drivetrain in NSW.
The Engine is a 4G92 1.6 DOHC MIVEC (Gen 2)
Gearbox – F5M421F8A7 – Also fitted with Limited slip diff. Gearbox rebuilt in 2011.

MIVEC works and is controlled by Mirage RS ECU – MD335299 – E2T67373 – MIVEC cuts in at 5200 RM – Fuel Cut at 8500 RPM
Extractors are from Liverpool Exhausts with a bullet shaped collector and are Ceramic coated.
Exhaust – Delete Cat straight through with rear muffler only.
Air Intake - Secret Weapon R
Coil – High output for Evo 4G63 – (Coils interchangeable, not High-Tension leads)
High Tension leads Ultra Power Ignition Leads – Low resistance
Aluminium Radiator EVO 5 / 6
High Volume Fuel Pump - KEMSO 340LPH Performance Fuel Pump
Adjustable Fuel Regulator - EPMAN Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator TYPE S

Gearshift – Raised 60mm with Short Shift and solid mounts along with modified gearbox shift brackets.

Suspension – Fox Coilovers Height Adjustable only – Fitted by previous owner and almost new when car purchased in 2015.
FTO – Front Lower Control Arms – (Longer than Standard Mirage)
Superpro Control Arm Bush Kit – Caster increase on both sides

FTO – Power Steering Rack
Power Steering Cooler fitted – (Automatic Transmission Cooler) – reduces cavitation and loss of power assistance

FTO – Rear Lower control arms – These are boxed design and have a rear sway bar bracket

Car is fitted with FTO Hubs and Brakes – 4-wheel disc brakes & 5 Stud - PCD 5 x 114.3. Centre Bore 67.1mm
FTO Brake Callipers Front (twin piston), & Rears – These were rebuilt during build & recently serviced.
Braided Brake Lines
Disc Rotors slotted Front & Rear – were new when car was built.
New Master Cylinder 1 1/16 inch bore from RPW – Fitted Nov 23
High Temp Brake Fluid used

Roll Cage – Bolt 6 point from Bond Roll Bars (2015). Plus, brackets added to also pick up top B Pillar top seat belt mounts (now 8 point)
Car is gutted to reduce weight, even lightened MR dash
Car is fitted with Genuine Mirage RS Dash Cluster with 10,000 RPM Tacho (hard to find)
Drivers seat Monza Wrap around style. Set up for 6 point harness for both drivers & passengers

The Body – The car has been garaged since 2015 and is good condition, better than average. The front panels are off a Lancer MR 2002 model.
This includes the late model Mudguard & the one piece headlights
Front Bumper is Lancer MR complete with genuine front MR spoiler & round fog lights. These wired up on separate switch.
Bonnet is a Fiberglass EVO Replica to suit Mirage
Side Skirts are genuine MR Lancer
Rear Spoiler is genuine VRX
Rear Bumper skirt is from a which is from a Mirage dealer fit body kit

Car comes with two sets of Wheels
1) Aftermarket – 15 x 6.5 JJ ET 40 Centre Bore 67.1mm – Fitted with older set of Federal RSR’s
2) Genuine set of FTO Wheels - 16 x 6.5 JJ ET 38 complete with Wheel Nuts and Centres. These need new tyres. These suit the car and match the hubs / brakes etc. Fitted with a 195/ 45 /16 tyre would be suitable.

This is only one of my cars. Have been building and racing Mirages since 2013, Including 1.5, 1.8 & 2.0 FTO V6 and this one which is a little special. This is not an ex-Mirage Cup car. The car does not have a logbook. The car is competitive and had many podium finishes leading to championship winning success. The Last Track Day was in August 2023 at Luddenham. The car had a Class win 1st Class 3R2 59.746 sec. The car was on old Semi Slicks (See Video) . The car is quicker on full Slicks by up to 2 seconds at Pheasant Nest. The last Skidpan Motorkhana December 2023, set a fastest time on Course - Bandit. This was a qualify field. The car has helped fill my Trophy cabinet with several 1st, 2nd & 3rd finishes.

Time to move on after almost 9 years, as I have a number of cars – Asking $10,500, now reduced to $9500. It has not been used much in the last few years and would like to see this being used more. So why not come and have look, make an offer. This car is a lot of fun.
