A significant amount of work has already gone into the car, including a fully reconditioned engine and replacement reconditioned gearbox, both with only approximately 250 km of use... the engine is quite literally still being run in. It has been tuned for E85 and - whilst the WRX hasn't yet been on the dyno - it is estimated that it puts out in excess of 225kw at the wheels. Importantly, the car has been built as a dual-purpose proposition rather than being permanently converted into a dedicated race car. The AGI half cage is a straightforward bolt-in/bolt-out installation, allowing the vehicle to be returned towards a road-going configuration by removing the cage and reinstalling the required seating. In fact the WRX was fully road registered up until February of this year after which point it was cancelled due to the car’s owner spending extended periods working overseas.
