Datsun 180B SSS Forest and Tarmac Rally Car

$29,000
Datsun
Make
180B
Model
1973
Year
Cairns QLD, Australia
Location

Fully CAMS log booked. Club rego in QLD. Unfortunately Cairns seems to be just a little far to pop down south to be able to compete on the occasional weekend.

New Radiator hand built copper and brass which is more flexible than alloy. MCA shock absorbers all around with canisters and and not competed since complete service by MCA. Also new front springs fitted that were spec by Murray Coute. Nissan GTS 4 pot front callipers with brand new rotors and endless pads. Rear brakes are 2 pot off VT commodore. Complete engine rebuild with fully balanced forged pistons, rods, shafts and fly wheel. Head has been matched and ported and cam shaft is a high performance though the car came to me with that. New extractors. 45 ml DCOE Webber carburettors completely overhauled with genuine kit and vapour blasted. Match ported manifold. Has not raced since rebuild. Electronic ignition. It has a Datsun option one 5 speed race gear box. Balanced tail shafts. All new wheel bearings and uni joints . Fully adjustable rear caster and camber set up. Comes with brand new rally tyres ( I think 3) also set of tarmac rally slicks and also set of Murray Coute specked front and rear springs for tarmac rallies. New fire bomb fitted in to car two years ago. Electric power steering out of Suzuki which works great and really good for tarmac. New 6 point seat belts maybe two years ago. Maybe 15 to 20 spare wheels and rally tyres. Lots of spare panels including bonnets and doors and guards and lots of new steering parts and ball joints and such. Rear diff is a limited slip R200 Nissan diff. When I first got the car I put it on a rotisserie and were was able to do every bit of rust on it and even the hard to get spots I sandblasted and treated. The car needs a good paint job to make it into a beautiful car but the next guy can do that. It has very little rust as we were very pedantic when we did it.
This car is ready to do any rally. Tarmac or dirt. This car got a top ten finish at the last COT in Alice Springs.
