This is a one off 1963 USAC (UNITED STATES AUTOMOBILE CLUB) National Midget Championship winner.

The driver was Bob Wente who was a visitor to Australian speedcar racing in the sixties.

He was inducted into the USAC Hall of Fame in 2014 & still has the 3rd greatest Midget race record in US Midget racing history.

This car is the last example of the famous Kurtis Kraft/Offenhauser design built by John Pawl , who bought out the Kurtis Kraft Midget business in the late 1950's.

This car was delivered to owner Bill Lloyd in 1962 & proceeded to win 10 USAC Midget features with Bob Wente behind the wheel & Bob Higman on the tools in its championship year.

The engine is a Big Honker Offenhauser (116 cubic inch) which represented the state of the art in 1963.

Features of these engines include Twin Overhead Camshaft, Mono block with mechanical fuel injection.

This car comes with the original championship trophy, driver race suit, race records & photos.

A full restoration was carried out a decade ago.

It has had a few easy demonstration runs under the current owner.

The car comes with many spares including wheels, tyres & gear ratios.

Owner needs to move on as he is downsizing collection.
