Acquired by me in 1993 to use in my Welsor Corolla Sports 1300, this item is a rare memento honouring a superb Australian driver, competing at the time, in a superb car. Leo had bought the car from its previous driver, the late Jim Clark, a two-time World Champion and Indianapolis 500 winner. Leo himself was no slouch, winning five Australian titles plus the JAF (Japanese) Grand Prix. Some famous hands have held this wheel!
The wheel has a diameter of 27 centimetres and is in useable condition, but hey, why would you? This unique piece of motorsport history should hang on a wall as a conversation piece.
My reason for selling it is simple. After 44 years of motor racing I need the money!
