Fruehauf tandem axle drop deck 40ft car transporter.

This transporter has been custom built as a mobile workshop that can transport 2 cars with all the spares while having accomodation at the front that can sleep 4.

Features of the transporter are:
- 5.7KVA generator on a slide that goes out the drivers side of the van while running. A custom 50L fuel tank supplies the generator, this is ample fuel to run through the night/race meeting.
- Power to the transporter is supplied either through running the generator or mains. There are power points in the living area, half way down the workshop and at the back door.
- Black Ridge air compressor, air from this has been plumbed to the back door for easy access while working on cars.
- Electric winch located at the front of the workshop, this winch is capable of pulling up to 5.5 ton. The winch is powered by a Delkor 210ah 440rc deep cycle battery that is connected to a trickle charger keeping it fully charged.
- Heavy duty hinged bridge. This bridge stays down flat while loading and unloading cars then can be secured upright to allow access through the side door while the cars are out.
- Tool chest. This tool chest has 8 drawers that vary in depths. There is a spring loaded bar that can go in front of the drawers to lock the tool chest.
- 3 tyre cupboards, these cupboards can take up to 5 tyres each. Again there are spring loaded bars that go inside the cupboard door to protect the door if tyres move around during transport.
- Cupboard located at the side door keeps the spare tyres for the truck and trailer. This allows easy access to the spares if needed on the side of the road without standing in passing traffic. 1 spare tyre for the transporter will go with the trailer.
- 2 mezzanine sections are built into the transporter, 1 at the front that is 1200mm wide and 1 at the back that is 2400mm wide. Both of these are able to be removed to suit different applications.
- LED lighting throughout workshop and living
- 2 LED flood lights directed out the back for working on cars at night
- 2 12V lights in workshop that are connected to the truck battery so that you can have some light inside while no power connected.
- A 60L water tank with soap dispenser.
- Mechpro air reel
- Sliding step located under side door.
- Slide out bench with vice and bench grinder
- Daikin reverse cycle air conditioner located above the door in the living area. The main unit is located in between the legs of the transporter. There is a protective canvas cover that goes over this unit to protect it from any debris while travelling.
- Microwave
- Bar fridge
- 4 bunk beds. 3 of these beds are permanent, the 4th is able to be converted to a couch by lifting and securing the back board.
- Large storage cupboard.
- Storage cupboards under beds on both sides
- Caravan door, this door has been installed to allow access in and out of the living area while the cars are loaded in the back. There are 2 steps located on the front of the trailer that allow you to step down on to the back of the truck.

The floor is 3mm ally checker plate, main framework of the workshop is 50x50x3 SHS, runners are 3mm plate

The runners and ramps have been painted with a texture paint, this gives grip while loading and unloading cars.

The workshop has been built putting a cupboard or drawer in as many spots as possible to maximise storage space.
