Richard Warland imported the SC80 in 1982 and basically installed a new FT-200 and a "300 bhp" Mazda Rotary 12A PP. This car first raced in the 1983 Australian Sports Car Championship, refer Log Book. Driven by Richard Warland, at Sandown, AIR and Amaroo. Next driven by John Smith at Oran Park winning one heat and very competitive in the other, but DNF. In the next round at Winton John drove again and was very competitive but a jammed throttle caused a DNF and minor concussion to John. Ken Strat
