This 1969 Triumph GT6 Race Car was prepared for Group S racing and maintains a CAMS Historic Vehicle Log Book. Under my ownership of the past few years I have only used it for club supersprints at SMSP and Wakefield. It has a full race prepared engine with all the nice bits (engine build sheet can be provided on request), custom exhaust, and is arguably one of the quickest in Australia with a very usable 162BHP at the rear wheels (Dyno results earlier this year available to view). The car is well looked after with the triple Webers tuned by highly professional and very talented specialists (also an historic racer) in Sydney. The engine is strong, gearbox good and rear diff just re-built, ready for the next owner to enjoy. It is not concourse, and shows a few nicks here and there (it’s called ‘race patina’), but overall great condition, very pretty and sails through scrutineering. There is NO rust in this car.
The engine noise when you hit the loud pedal is just awesome whether inside or spectating outside! It never ceases to bring a huge smile whenever I jump in it to have some fun, and is always appreciated by others in the paddock. If you are interested in it’s time at SMSP GP circuit, my best was 1:57.3, and I am sure more capable drivers could exceed this.
The car will be supplied with a spare re-built gearbox ($$$$) and a single axle trailer with ramps, electric brakes, and hand winch, registered and very easy to tow. I am open to negotiation if trailer and spare gearbox are not required.
Don’t miss this rare opportunity to purchase a very sought after GT6 model that will allow you to enjoy some amazing driving and meet and mingle with other like-minded enthusiasts. Car can be viewed any morning, but no road tests...this is a track car only in it’s current specification.
