The last year for the desirable carburetted 911T , and this ex California car was imported into NZ in 1984, and has been the subject of a 20+ year restoration, having been taken back to a bare shell. The shell was found to be in very good condition, and required very little work to make perfect. It was repainted top to bottom in the original Signal Orange and at only 67,000 miles mechanically the car was very good, and parts were rebuilt only where necessary, including the 2x triple choke carburettors. All suspension parts, brakes etc. were repainted and rebuilt, and the car is as nice underneath as it is on top. Original features also include the Fuchs wheels, which have all been hand polished to a lovely shine.
This car is in very nice condition, and drives exactly as you would expect. It would suit someone who wants an older 911 to drive on a regular basis, as opposed to a councours example which you would be fearful of using. This is a matching numbers/matching colours car.
Car can be imported into the UK under heading 97.05 (collections and collectors’ pieces of historical interest), where customs duty is nil, and VAT is charged at an effective tariff rate of 5%.
