March 85B Marlboro Formula 3000 - Ex Michel Ferte (Oreca Racing). Cosworth DFV - Engine rebuilt, dyno tuned & had 3 trouble free outings - approx 3hrs work in total
Transmission rebuilt, drive shafts crack tested & rebuilt.
Exhaust system in excellent condition, Burns lightweight race mufflers fitted to meet noise restrictions.
Chassis has recieved a thorough Professional resotration. New Fuel cell fitted, new lift pump, all new fuel lines & fittings. Wiring tidied & repaired where nec. Overhauled air starter motor. Cooling system cleaned & repaired wher nec - all new plumbing. Gearshift has all new joints, bushings etc. All major fasteners replaced, others replaced as nec.
Bodywork repaired where nec & fully repainted, new body fasteners, Custom made air cleaner fitted
Brake system - new master cylinders, pedal assembly - crack tested & overhauled, new balance bar, Calipers crack tested & overhauled, Rotors & hats like new, new flexible lines, hardlines replaced where nec. Fasteners replaced where nec.
Steering - Rack crack tested & overhauled, Spherical bearings replaced where nec, Steering column crack tested & uni's replaced where nec.
Suspension - New 7000 series alloy billet front uprights (replica of the original), Rear uprights crack tested, New wheel bearings, hubs & spindles crack tested, suspension arms crack tested, rebushed where nec, Sphericals replaced where nec. New MCA two way adjustable shock absorbers. Set up by Barry Lock (Ex McLaren).
All Historic paperwork included.
The car is immaculate, everything works as it should & is ready to race. The amount spent on this car in recent years nearly totals to the asking price.
