MAJOR MECHANICAL REBUILD 1500 KM AGO. THE CAR HAS NOT BEEN RACED.
Built in Sydney in 1997 this car has undergone continuous improvements over the 35,750 km it has traveled to its current R300 plus Caterham Motorsport specification
Omega pistons, roller barrel throttles, anti-cavitation oil tank, 4-2-1 exhaust with ceramic coating, lightened flywheel, AP racing clutch, 6 speed close ratio Caterham gear box (also standard Ford Type 9 5 speed gearbox available). Nitron race springs/adjustable shock absorbers and AP racing brakes with 10" vented discs. A selection of front anti-roll bars to complement the wide track race suspension set up and De Dion/Watts linkage rear suspension provides excellent race handling.
The 1.8 litre Caterham Motorsport Rover K series engine was professionally rebuilt 1500km ago and the suspension, clutch and gearbox replaced
The car weighs 505 kg and the engine develops about 180 bhp.
Running 13" Mag alloy split rim Compomotive wheels with Yokohama AO48 185 front 205 rear tyres for fast use and four spare brand new Avon CR500 tyres for track use
Set of five 14" Minilite type wheels with Michelin 185 tyres for standard road use
Tillet composite racing seats and 5 point harnesses or Caterham leather seats and standard inertia reel seatbelts.
FIA rollbar and removal petty struts.The car is in vgc with only a few paint chips. The seats, doors, hood and wet weather covers are in mint condition. It has a full hood, both full and half doors, tonneau covers and factory car covers. It has the upgraded steering wheel with CatFlash indicator buttons.
The car can be run in track spec with the air deflector, petty strut and race mirrors or with the standard windscreen and wet weather accessories.
A large number of spares are also included.
The car is fully ADR complied and has been registered in both NSW and VIC.
