Built 2004 in SA. Car now resides in WA with full rego (expires May 2024)
Bought in Jan 2009 with about 35k kms on the odo. Current odo reading is about 106k kms
Reasonably regular competitor in sprints, motorkhanas and regularity. Plenty of in-car footage available

Engine rebuilt in 2017 at 98k kms. Bottom end balanced and rods shotpeened. ARP rod bolts, new flywheel bolts
Short motor was assembled by Tony Flood. Cost $2500
BHJ harmonic balancer
Dyno tune by Tim Slako in 2018 (after engine rebuild) showed 120hp/89.5kW at 165km/h
Sam Q water redirection kit fitted

Sam Q 100mm billet trumpets fitted, inside a Reverie Zolder carbon fibre induction box with brand-new Pipercross air filter

Philips LED headlight globes - fantastic improvement (paid $142)
Baffled fuel tank (original was replaced when I was rear-ended in traffic)
Replaced all fuel lines with Speedflow fittings and stainless braided hoses

As you would expect, the car has its fair share of dings, scrapes and marks, given the distance travelled and the motorsport history, but it still presents well and the Birkin design and construction has a great reputation. It has been super reliable and performs well in all conditions.
