2004 Porsche 996 Cup Car with huge maintenance investment and great spares package.

This was the first 2004 model car delivered to Australia, ahead of the 2004 Carrera Cup season. Originally campaigned by Peter Bradbury, then sold to Shane McKillen of New Zealand, and run by the prolific IMS team. Matt Halliday drove it at the Bathurst 1000 support category race in 2004, and it was then campaigned in Australian Carrera Cup in 2005 by McKillen and Paul Pedersen, in the striking 42 Below Vodka livery of which its presented today.

The engine was rebuilt and bored out to a 3.8L by PR Technology in Sydney in 2013 (receipt included), with approximately 3,000km of running since. Odometer reads 26,523km. Beyond this further modifications are retro-fitting of a Motec dash, GT3R carbon rear ring, front aerofoils and cold air naca duct fan.

I’ve owned this car nearly 5 years and have spent about $50,000 sorting it mechanically (with the receipts to prove it). This is somewhat ironic as I’ve only run it at maybe 5-7 track days since purchase. Only selling as I want to focus on other motorsport projects. Would make a great easy-to-run track day or state-level motorsport car.

Mechanical works in the last 18 months have included:

- Gearbox Rebuilt (Mike Newton - $20,000)
- New Sachs clutch 2025
- Brake Calipers - brand new 2025
- New Brake discs 2025
- New lightweight battery 2024
- Fuel pump – brand new 2025
- Water pump – brand new 2025
- O2 sensors – brand new 2025
- Shocks rebuild (Triple Eight) 2024
- Major service in early 2025 with very limited running since

The car is literally turn-key and included in the sale is:

- Motorsport Australia Log Book
- 1 x additional set of recently reconditioned wheels
- Spare fuel pump – working fine when removed
- Spare set of brake pads
- 2 x plastic inner wheel guards
- 1 x set of old drive shafts
- Plastic undertrays
- Exhaust manifolds
- 2 x shocks/springs
- Air spike

Do have a 997 sequential gearbox available as well if interested.
