This is a 2008 BMW M3 in fantastic condition, it is an English import by the previous owner, who imported the car but without an import approval. As such he was given 3 options by the department of infrastructure, re-export the car, have it crushed, or import it as a race car. As the owner did not have a race car licence, he sold it to me and I imported it as a race car – the vehicle has NEVER been on a race track (YET). My intention was to use it occasionally as a circuit/track day car until it turns 25 years old in 2033 and then apply to have a 25+ year old import approval that will allow it to be on a club permit or full registration. Yes, that’s correct, in 2033, this will be allowed to be road registered but until then, what a fantastic track day car, the only M3 model with a V8 that screams to 8000rpm, makes more than 400hp and has the desirable manual gearbox.
Why am I selling? As I have several projects on the go it seemed worth seeing if someone sees the investment and fun opportunity in this car, if not, I’ll keep it, do some track days and register it in 2033 but my wife would be happy for the extra car space in the garage.
