Built prior to the 2020 Supercars Championship season, KR011 was initially driven by Rick Kelly in his final year of competition. The car was later driven by David Reynolds during the 2021–2022 seasons under the Kelly Grove Racing / Grove Racing banner before being returned to Kelly Racing at the end of the 2022 season.

The car was subsequently prepared and campaigned by Kelly Racing in the 2024–2025 Super2 Championship, driven by Mason Kelly and Max Geoghegan.

Since then, KR011 has undergone a full rebuild and is presented in ready-to-race condition.
