GOLF R - TRACK/STREET WEAPON

Stage 3 - Street legal road/track weapon fully complied half cage.

This was a CoVid project with visions of track days but life just gets in the way and it sits in the garage so it’s time to move it on.

I purchased the car as a stock manual with 75k on the clock, I have basically spent the list price of the car on modifying with majority of parts from Harding’s and all parts/car maintained installed by Advanced Service Toowoomba’a VW and Audi aftermarket specialists...everything including an oil top up has been performed by the shop.

It’s built to drive to the track and drive home...but has only had 5 outings 12 months ago and after sitting for a year and doing the odd coffee run it’s time to move it on.

The car has

Racingline Stage 3 turbo kit
Racingline intake, turbo muffler delete and intake pipes
Valvetronic turbo back exhaust
Racing Line Catch Can
PWR intercooler
Harding High performance clutch kit installed only 150km ago
Shifter Bushing upgrade - small but important in manual
Accelerator pedal lift - perfect to allow heel and toe

Most people in the golf world stop here but I added all the safety and performance handling parts

Fully complied Bolt in half cage, has been changed to two seat registration for compliance - Legally able to drive on the road with cage. Cage is Cams Standard - Cage was custom built and could be extended to full cage if required of course loose rego at that point
Recaro Racing seats and full harness
Custom mounting brackets to allow seatbelts to be used
AP racing 385mm BBK with brand new DBA 5000 rotors and pads all round 150km ago and only bed in and road use
MCA reds coilovers with DCC delete - setup provided by Josh Cootes specific for this car
Front control arms
Harding’s front and rear sway bars
Bushings upgraded to suspension parts when changed out
Near near Nankang Ar01’s. Yet to go to track only road km’s

Genuine Wolfsburg wheels and Cadiz full size spare.

If it even didn’t feel right I would drive it to the shop and have it inspected. I have 3 other cars and maintain them regardless of price. To the point I wanted to hand this over at its best level and spent $6k on the new pads, rotors and a brand new heavy duty clutch, as the previous upgraded clutch just handled the power.

You will love this car, its drives on rails, pulls insanely hard and it’s an absolute blast...it puts a smile on your face every time.
