MG Xpower SV-S 2003/6

The ideal track day car, especially for the MG enthusiast. About 90 of these supercars were built by MG in the UK between 2003 and 2006. They were available in three forms SV (4.6L Ford V8), SV-R (5.0L Ford V8) and SV-S (4.6L Ford V8 with Roush supercharger). Only about six were SV-Ss.
Italian steel chassis with full carbon fibre body, this supercharged engine reputedly produces 495bhp (370kW). Recaro seats, Brembo brakes, 5 spd Tremec gearbox, built-in roll cage, 2.5 sets of original OZ Racing wheels. Finished in Storm Grey metallic.
This particular car was road registered in the UK before coming to Australia where it is now unregistered but comes with a custom built open trailer. Has been used in super-sprints and hill climbs, etc.. Would be great at Leyburn, or similar. Was originally imported for the MG race series in Victoria but never entered. MG body logos can be removed.
A prototype SV-R was displayed at the 2003 Sydney Motor Show with a projected retail price of $250,000 but sadly, they never went on sale here. Currently only two SVs are in Australia. They rarely change hands in the UK or Europe but when they do, they go for double my asking price.
