The Performer is the brainchild of Hans-Peter Elkmann, father of German Formula 3 and four-time European Superkart Champion Peter Elkmann. The Performer was created for the racetrack, with the goal of offering the performance of a Super-Sportscar at the cost of a motorbike. Thanks to its intelligent design, it weighs in at only approximately 290 kg, making it extremely lightweight and well-balanced. The combination of a flat undertray with diffuser and rear wing enables it to achieve lateral accelerations of more than 2.5G's. At the Phillip Island racetrack, the Performer 1000 has achieved top speeds of over 250km/h, on par with Super-Sportscars and GT class cars. Powering the Performer is a robust and lightweight Suzuki GSX-R 1000 engine, which can accelerate the vehicle from 0 to 200km/h in under 12 seconds. The engine has a typical lifespan of approximately 60,000km in a motorbike configuration, but with racing at an average of 80% load, its lifetime is reduced to 20%, equivalent to roughly 12,000km (or 3 years) of race use with no major maintenance required.
