1996 Subaru GC8 Tarmac Rally / Track Car
Not Registered, and not intended for road use at all

Heavily modified and a shell up build intended for outstanding cornering, hillclimb and sprint style events.
This car makes 450 REAL AWHP and moves faster than you can think about changing gears... It's awesome!

2.5L EJ257 2008 STI motor

8mm Grimmspeed Phenolic intake manifold spacers
Reversed STI Manifold and modified breathers on block and valve covers for low air velocity in breather system to the catchcans.
DBW Throttle body
Frozen Boost Water 2 Air Intercooler Setup (rated at 1000bhp but that means F** all honestly)
Air cooler sits in facory top mount position - Cooler rad sits where a FMiC would go.Rad has its own Fan.
Koyo rad CROSS FLOW RAD modified and fitted - coolant flows left to right instead of up to down which is the normal subaru crux.
Radiator has baffling/shrouding to jam air into the front. It works amazingly, and was the key to getting this monster of a setup to run cool.
Killer B Expansion tank - Custom overflow tank that sits at the back of the engine bay.

FUEL:
1600cc Injectors running low base pressure for really predictable low throttle driving, coldstarts and general driveability (yes it's a rececar, but it's the little things!)
Process west surgetank
Paralell Fuel rails
OEM Tank (was cleaned and acid bathe'd by myself) retained for best weight positioning
340ph Lift Pump 560lph Feed pump (in surgetank)
Custom Fuel lines that run along pasener side (replicating oem line routing) and is FIA approved.

CHASSIS:
Started life as an innocent 1996 Impreza L or somethng along the lines.
Bought it for its chassis, and have stripped down everything off of it - cut out sheet metal that doesn't need to be there, stripped the sound deadening and started from scratch.
Brad Stacey Fabrication 6 point National Rally Spec Roll cage with a few extra bars in the rear.
Approved rollcage padding.
Rear firewall installed. Spare wheel well cut out and plated.
Close Door Respray to Red (Toyota Super Red 2 - my favourite coulour ever.)
6-Point Harnesses and racing seats.

SUSPENSON & DRIVETRAIN:
03 STI driveline (hubs, axels, alloy arms, subframes F+R, swaybars etc)
Short Ratio STI SCCD 6-speed Gearbox (3.9)
Brembo Brakes, manual booster conversion, Prop valve
Hydraulic Handbrake.
Spec C Short ratio Steering rack (sourced brand new from Maximum Motorsport)
MCA Red Coilovers fine tuned and corner weighted (allowing for 80kg driver and co-ddriver ea)
Whiteline Rear lateral arms and adjustable components added where i needed them.
BOLT IN Bearing/hub conversion done on the Fronts - to accept any subaru bolt in bearing from 05-14 that's 5x100.
Konig Hypergrams 17x9+40 Gunmetal with 235/40R17 Kumho V70A's for sprint work
Rota Gravel's 18x8.5 +42 White with 235/40R18 Toyo R888's for track work
Both sets of wheels included.

Full Hand wired motorsport grade harness for body and engine/transmission control.

All tied in with one beautifully subtle wiring harness.

Wired from scratch and tuned at Garage 101 in Western Australia.
Absolutely excell in their trade of high performance cars and racework.

There's definitely so much more, but these are the important specs of the car.
Everyones got a sop storey about selling their pride and joys... I wish i could keep this car forever - but it's just not responsible for me to do so.
