A Historically Significant Survivor a Holden Torana GMP&A Factory built A9X Hatchback Road car specialty built for HDT mechanic and Race team driver Wayne Negus as his own Personal Family car.This is the only A9X GMP&A Hatchback to be built in this specification and color, Confirmed by Mike Prowse the Production control Supervisor at GMH in AMC mag issue 35, as this car is definitely a 1 of 1 build from GMH AND CERTAINLY THE RAREST WITH SUCH AN INTERESTING HISTORY AND PROVENANCE.
Wayne spent a full week at GMH Dandenong Assembly plant and supervised the entire operation with requesting special options installed on the production line : Mustard Yellow color, Herringbone Trim, Woodgrain Dash, Extra sound Deadner, Factory A/C, Stereo radio,speakers installed, Electric Antenna, Factory built long range fuel tank (not in car), Repco engine, Automatic Trans set up for T400, Tow hitch.
Respray on the outside only in acrylic in 1994, Hatch and under bonnet remains original paint, Engine refreshed at the same time all done by the Negus family all new rubbers and bushes, Koni shocks and Steering rack rebuild.
The car remains' untouched and has not been restored and tampered with and currently with the second owner from the Negus family.
Custom plates are not included in sale as the car comes with the original registration plates and is currently road licensed in WA.
Original A9X Rims and good rubber with approx 194000 kms on speedometer, workshop serviced as the vehicle is in good running order.
