Chassis #4 was one of the first batch of five cars built. It was completed in early 1992. It was originally white with black signwriting as shown in the 1992 Pro-Sport calendar. The Penske PC 16 was developed for the 1987 CART PPG Indy Car World Series season and raced at several events for that year.
