This car was last raced at Phillip Island in 2016. It qualified 2nd but spun in the wet and hit a guard rail in a side front impact that bent the chassis frame. A new frame was bought and most of the supports radiator elements and cowls were replaced. The car front suspension was not damaged and the wheel alignment is as perfect as it was when the pre-race work and oil changes were done before the event. This is a highly sought-after two-litre Super Touring car from the celebrated era of British Touring Car Championship racing. A 1997-build car constructed and run by MSD (Motor Sport Developments) in that year’s BTCC and driven by British ace Patrick Watts in its distinctive Esso Ultron green and gold livery. Currently located in Adelaide, South Australia, chassis PR003 is one of only three 406 Super Tourers cars built for the 1997 BTCC season and later raced in Australia in the BOC Gases Aust
