The AC Schnitzer S5 3.0iX is a Schnitzer conversion of a BMW 525 iX This car was built by BMW in RHD (unique for a 525iX) and then underwent the conversion at the UK Schnitzer workshop. Chassis #4 was one of the first batch of five cars built. It was completed in early 1992. It was originally white with black signwriting as shown in the 1992 Pro-Sport calendar. Its first owner was Don Farthing and Peter Sneller of Zeus Racing. Don entered the car into LeMans in 1992, and was allocated #62.
