This Mallock U2 was built under license in New Zealand in 1969 using all the usual components. It raced successfully for 10 years when it was purchased by a prominent racer/constructor as a base for a sports racing car to compete in the SCANZ national sports car championship during the 1980's. Bob Fernley , Force India, owned the car and ran Jim Crawford(Ex F1) and Michael Roe in the 1984 CanAm championship, the RK 847 finished a credible 2nd in its inaugural year of competition.
