1961 Elfin Zephyr Special. No.14 of the first 23 Elfin's ever made. Built by Noel Heard & Gary Cooper using a 2.6 L Zephyr 6 cylinder motor. Noel raced it in the 1961 Grand Prix. Won many hill climb championships, this is a great piece of Australian motor racing history. Noel completely rebuilt the car in 1998. The car has been used very little since. It is logged as a group M car with many photos & trophies. Sadly, Noel Heard is no longer with us but he was a wealth of information about the car

This is a genuine NG Elfin with build plate EP 002 and comes with current log book and COD. It has had extensive development work and is a front running car with top HP engine, weight reduction where allowed and sorted steering and suspension. It comes with 2 sets of wheels and spares include a nose cane, brake drums, trailing arms, distributor, front shocks and assorted items. Wheel alignment bars are also included. Last outing at Phillip Island Festival of Speed qualified 3rd out of 16 cars.

With the 100 years of MG celebrations currently happening, it is a great time to own a MG. This MG B is set up for racing, however, can be registered under Classic Vehicle Registration. Has had plenty of performance work done to it and has recently had a considerable amount of money spent on refreshing it. I can share information with those who are serious. A great fun little car, I just have some other projects on the go now.

Seamless mild steel tube chassis, funny car driver's style cage (20” at seat base, 18” at shoulder H 38”) will fit 6’1” 181lb driver. Rowe strut disc front with rack & pinion. 4 link, new Koni coil over shocks, new springs, 9” rear end, new SPE 40 spline floater 11/16 drive studs, 5 on 5.5, Wilwood 4 spot disc brake callipers. No center. Simpson 5 point harness new but out of date.
