For sale is my Dallara Formula Libre hill climb car. The tub is a 302 Dallara formula 3. It is fitted with a Suzuki GSXR1000 engine controlled by a Haltec ECU that was wired by Race Wires, and tuned by the Melbourne Performance Centre. All the steelwork is fabricated from 4130 Chromoly tube and tig welded. Brembo brakes all round, Koni shocks front and rear, Quaife differential. Originally built for the Australian Motor Racing Series. Raced once but series stopped. Since then the engine was rebuilt with best components available. Bob Fernley , Force India, owned the car and ran Jim Crawford(Ex F1) and Michael Roe in the 1984 CanAm championship, the RK 847 finished a credible 2nd in its inaugural year of competition. A major rebuild/restoration has been completed to bring this car back to the way it looked in the June 1984 Autosport track test article, notably with the high mounted single plane front wing which was the trademark of this Chris Murphy designed race car.
