I purchased with the idea of building a race car but I already have too many other cars and projects. Written off (stat write off) due to some basic damage to the rear quarter panel, some suspension arms and a wheel. Both the guard and the suspension arms have been repaired as shown. I'm happy to share the progress photos of the repair to the quarter panel but it was just from a car park fender bender and was nothing considerable at all. (refer to last photo) May 2023 build date. 1961 Elfin Zephyr Special. No.14 of the first 23 Elfin's ever made. Built by Noel Heard & Gary Cooper using a 2.6 L Zephyr 6 cylinder motor. Noel raced it in the 1961 Grand Prix. Won many hill climb championships, this is a great piece of Australian motor racing history. Noel completely rebuilt the car in 1998. The car has been used very little since. It is logged as a group M car with many photos & trophies. Sadly, Noel Heard is no longer with us but he was a wealth of information about the car
