In the late 1960’s Sir Jack Brabham retired from international motor racing and bought a Ford dealership on the Hume Highway at Greenacre in Sydney’s west. It became Jack Brabham Ford, the same dealership that would later go on to sell the one and only production Ford Falcon XA GTHO. Sir Jack, together with workshop manager Gary Smith and race driver and engineer, Barry Sharp, came up with the Jack Brabham Special. These Specials were designed to be road driveable performance cars the same as

The Ford XW Falcon GTHO Phase II is arguably the toughest of all the GTHO models Ford made. With all of the 267 examples produced having “solid” 351 4V Cleveland engines, 31 spline Top Loader gearboxes and differentials. Falcon GT enthusiasts would argue that the Phase II is their favourite. This example, restored approximately 15 years ago in its original colour of Diamond White with saddle interior. It was originally delivered to Duhig Ford in Essendon, Victoria and was built in August of 1970

I am looking for a new home in Perth, for our 4WD roller Dyno. I’m hoping to find a race team or workshop who was considering a dyno and have room for it to be set up (approx 8 x 5 mtrs) I will supply the dyno plus all the supporting equipment in exchange for some realestate to set it up under a shared custody arrangement. I am NOT interested in selling it even though this is a for sale ad. I am interested in connecting with people looking at buying or leasing a dyno to discuss this very rare o

The most beautiful car in the world. That's what “Il Commendatore” Enzo Ferrari said of the E-Type. Compliments don’t come any higher as this was from a man who was famously callous and dismissive of other manufacturers. Having looked over every inch of this stunning 1972 E-Type V12 Convertible, we tend to agree. If you needed any further convincing of this car’s style and pedigree, you must only look to a list of people who have at one time or another owned an E-Type. From Frank Sinatra and B

We have decided to sell our 1983 Mercedes 280E and move on to new adventures. We have owned it for around 3 years during which time she’s participated in numerous HRC and CRC events including the Alpine Classic, the Perth to Sydney Rally and more recently, the Snowy Tour. Prior to our purchase she completed the 14,500km ‘Repco Round Australia Re-trial’ in 2019 without a fault. The Mercedes offers so many great comfort features such as auto transmission, cruise control, air conditioning and e

Now available for sale is what could easily be described as one of the best Mazda RX3 Coupes in the country. Every aspect of this car is day one original and honestly hard to believe. There is not a single modification on this car. Originally imported to New Zealand from Japan and then here to Australia approximately nine years ago and since being in Australia has only had two very careful owners. A full feature on the RX3 was published in issue 49 of Survivor Car Magazine. Running its original

When you think of iconic Japanese cars from the seventies, a number of makes and models immediately spring to mind. But if you had to nominate just one car that best represented design cues, styling and engineering from the era, it would have to be the Mazda RX-3 Coupe. When it was released here in 1972, the rotary-powered coupe was a legend-in-waiting and without question the car has well and truly achieved cult status amongst the Australian automotive community. This particular example has

This is the 3rd car built by Jack Pryor and Clive Adams and was apparently modelled of the Stan Coffey Cooper Bristol that Clive had driven on occasion. It as completely restored for me by Paul Trevethan in Melbourne and debuted at Winton in 2007 and has been running at the pointy end of Group Lb fields ever since. This Prad runs a fully worked 6 cylinder grey Holden motor fitted with a very rare Phil Irving Repco High Power cross flow head, which is mated to a 4speed Borgward transaxle. No expe

Here's one for the big guys! A Jordan Sparco brand race suit in a rarely available size of 62. This is from 2003 season when the Jordan raced with the Ford Cosworth and sported the classic Benson and Hedges sponsorship. I believe it was used by the jack man and I have included a photo of the team in action during a pit stop. I'd like to think that its my suit in the photo! But who knows. I bought it back in 2006 and used it a few times racing in the Vic State series....now its just hanging
